Yesterday Dave Hause took the stage at Batschkapp Frankfurt with his lately released album DEVOUR. Those who have already seen him during Chuck Ragan’s Revival Tour 2011 or solo with his record RESOLUTIONS can imagine how incredible awesome those shows are. So now wonder I was absolutely excited to be able to see another Dave Hause show in 2013.

Additionally this time Dave Hause offered a contest via Talent House that allowed always one fan to each show with a photo pass. The contest worked the following. Everybody could submit a picture from any live concert and either the community or Dave could choose who would be the winner for the town applied for. I had the honor to get that chance with one of my Revival Tour pictures of 2012 and therefor was allowed to take my Canon D60 with me into the Batschkapp.

While Dave clearly had the focus on the new songs of DEVOUR and even played piano on two songs (and those from Wiesbaden’s Revival Tour 2011 know what that means) his opening act Northcote, from Canada, proved to be a charming and intoxicating singer-songwriter that has a raspy voice and therefor perfectly fits to Dave when entering the stage with him for some songs. This guy should definitely kept an eye on..I would not be surprised to see him on the next Revival Tour. I can also recommend to give his album NORTHCOTE a chance as it has a bunch of wonderful songs on it.
